Rolled Brim Hat Pattern for Sock Monkey or Doll
- Yarn- worsted weight
- Needles- US #7 double pointed
Cast on 40 stitches divide evenly on needles.
Join careful not to twist
Knit around until piece measures 2.5 inches or desired length
Decrease Rounds
- Place Marker to Mark the beginning of your Decrease rounds
- Round 1. Knit 2, Knit 2 together around- 30 stitches
- Round 2.Knit even around
(note: when there is uneven stitches at the end of a round- knit to end)
Repeat rounds 1 and 2 two times more- 18 stitches
- Round 3.Knit 2 together around – 9 stitches
- Repeat round 3 two times more- 3 stitches
Finish with tapestry needle
Thread remaining stitches on needle and pull tight
Work in ends
Top with Pom-Pom if desired

Cast on 80 stitches (or desired length)
Knit across
Repeat 5 times
Bind off all stitches and work in ends.
